Before And After The all-in-one-seo-pack Plugin

I sort of thought that this was cool so I decided to write a post about it. I actually noticed a difference in Google SERPS how my results looked before and after the all-in-one-seo-pack plugin.

This first screenshot contains search results of posts that I wrote and published BEFORE activating the all-in-one-seo-pack plugin.

You can see that the look of the google result with the >>> came from the layout provided in the Brightside theme that I used before activating the plugin.

Here are the results after activating the plugin.

I like this look a lot better. Also notice the small description that follows the title of the search result. I didnt get that similar description format in the first screenshot.

So there you have it folks. The all-in-one-seo-pack plugin actually does work.

Step By Step Process For Setting Up Your Blog Right The First Time!!!

Ok I know this is a topic that Blogs about blogging deal with but since i am a ZDB (ZillionDollarBlogger) I feel that its necessary to write about how to start a blog right without having to read a zillion (no pun intended) different blogs on the topic. I think that I finally got it down and if you have read all my previous posts then you would know it sort of works for me so it should work for you.

1. Install wordpress. If you dont know how then go somewhere else.

2. Make basic but important changes right away. Here are the following changes you should make:
a. Go and change your password if you installed it using an autoinstaller right away. Click on the Users tab then go to your profile and change your password and contact info

b. Click on your Options tab, go to General and change your Title, Tagline, Wordpress address (add in the www), and Blog address.

c. Click on Permalinks tab and change your structure from the default to /%postname%/.

d. create an .htaccess file using Notepad (the program that comes with Windows). This is a little tricky. I have this file saved on my PC and I just use it all the time. If you need do a search on how to create this file. You need to have this file.

e. copy and paste this .htaccess file to your root directory of your blog folder via ftp.

f. Change the permissions of this .htaccess file so that the server can write to it.

g. go back to your permalinks tab and click on ‘update permalink structure’. If you did everything right it should tell you that it was updated correctly.

3. Install and activate the following plugins: all-in-one-seo-pack, and Google XML Sitemaps

4. Find and install a good theme.

5. edit the .htaccess file so that the Googlebot doesnt index categories and archived pages. This is important if you dont want to mess with Google’s duplicate content filter. As to how to do this I am not sure yet but I know it should be done.

more to come…
